Wachowski Siblings

Blaine: The Wachowski siblings used to be called The Wachowski Brothers before Larry changed his gender and became Lana. After the release of their 2008 movie "Speed Racer", Larry began his gender transformation. Four years later after remaining out of the public eye, she re-introduced herself as Lana Wachowski when she was promoting a new movie alongside her brother Andy and Tom Tykwer. It was when they were promoting the movie "Cloud Atlas" and I found out one of the directors is a female named Lana Wachowski best known for being the co-creator of "The Matrix" Trilogy and that's when I started to remember at the end credits of the all the "Matrix" movies it would say "Written and Directed by The Wachowski Brothers". So that's when I started to think maybe one of them had a sex change operation and I looked it up and found out I was right. Usually the answer to this type of thing is that they feel there's really a woman trapped in a man's body, but whatever Lana's reason was, she is happy now. Lana looks good as a woman to me and the pink hair due really goes with her. Andy recently followed Lana in her gender transformation as evinced by the photo on the right. Her name is now Lilly.

Blaine: I love Lilly and Lana. I think they're very smart, cool, hardworking and they have a lot of fun at what they do. I also think of them as creative people after what they've done with movies like "The Matrix" and "Cloud Atlas". They work well together, they both think alike, they make the perfect team. They both have proven themselves to me two of the greatest filmmakers in the history of film.

Blaine: I hope you've enjoyed this lesson on Lilly and Lana Wachowski and their work. And you can learn more on other great filmmakers on my site.
